Access to the Blackboard archive ended on July 31, 2024.
All academic courses will be archived and retained in accordance with the state’s data retention policy. Additionally, Blackboard courses offered between Spring 2021 and Summer 2023 were migrated to Canvas last year and can be identified with the “BBMIG” prefix in the course title. If you need access to a course archive, please submit an online request form including the Subject, Course Number, Course Section, CRN, Term, and the data needed.

Courses migrated from Blackboard to Canvas during the transition phase are tagged with “BBMIG” in the course name. You can find these courses in your Canvas account under Courses > All Courses.
After July 31, 2024, faculty and staff will no longer have access to Blackboard. All non-academic content not migrated or saved externally will be inaccessible after this date. We urge you to ensure all necessary materials are transferred to Canvas or downloaded before the cutoff date.
Post July 31, Academic Innovation will begin the full decommission process of Blackboard. This includes permanently shutting down the Blackboard servers on August 31, 2024, ensuring that all data is securely archived or deleted as per data retention policies.

Please know that it is not possible to restore student submissions and grades into Canvas. Should you need access to the gradebook, please include the student’s name, myUTSAID (abc123), assignment name, and data needed.
After July 31, 2024, all non-academic course content and grades will be permanently deleted.
