The Teaching Online Academy is a free, fully online professional development opportunity for UTSA faculty who are interested in building a high-quality online course. The course will be eight weeks, starting February 3 and ending March 29, 2020.

Workshop Outcomes
Participants will review and discuss best practices for online teaching and will build their course autonomously. Basic Blackboard skills are a pre-requisite.
By the end of the academy participants will be able to:
- Create an effective online syllabus and schedule that provide clear guidance and expectations for students.
- Design instructional content and activities for online delivery.
- Develop online content, communication, and assessment components.
- Explore and become confident in using a variety of advanced Blackboard Learn tools that enhance the student learning experience.
