Home / About Us

The Office of Digital Learning supports academic departments and faculty in the design and development of the courses which support UTSA’s fully-online degree programs. We use Quality Matters principles and accessibility/UDL standards as the foundation for instructional design and development to ensure a high quality learning experience for our students. We promote the integration of digital learning tools into the curriculum to enhance student engagement and success. Advancing UTSA’s role as an Adobe Creative Campus, our office champions the development of complex digital media projects and help our faculty incorporate digital fluency in their courses using Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Digital Learning

What We Do:

  • We work closely with UTSA faculty to design and build the courses that are part of the university’s online degree programs. No more outsourcing. We do it all in house.
  • We use Quality Matters principles to ensure that UTSA online courses are high-quality, accessible and use Universal Design for Learning strategies.
  • We offer consultations, resources, and trainings to UTSA faculty who want to incorporate digital learning tools and digital fluency into their courses.
  • We work with faculty on academic initiatives that promote an active, immersive, and media-rich digital learning experience for students.

The Office of Digital Learning is part of the Academic Innovation unit.
